I, the undersigned, submit this petition to my elected officials opposing the Federal Aviation Administration's proposed airspace redesign, which I believe will harm the safety, environmental health, and quality of life of numerous communities in both Connecticut and New York. I believe the FAA has not adequately evaluated the plan's true impacts, particularly the increased noise levels and air pollution that will result, and should be required to follow due process and address legitimate community concerns.

Keep Our Communities Safe!

Welcome to the online headquarters for the Alliance for Sensible Airspace Planning (AfSAP).  We’re fighting to halt the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA's) proposed new flight plan, which threatens to endanger numerous densely populated communities in both Connecticut and New York.  The communities of Bridgewater, Danbury, Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, New Milford, Norwalk, Redding, Ridgefield, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton in Connecticut and Pound Ridge in New York have joined together to form AfSAP.  AfSAP opposes the FAA’s airspace redesign proposal.  Residents of these communities, like many other citizens, will be adversely affected by the FAA’s plan to re-route the flight paths for operations at the region’s commercial airports, a plan that will produce unacceptable health, environmental, safety, noise and quality-of-life impacts.
